Privacy Policy

If you create an account, we handle the name, email address, and account credentials needed for email-and-password sign-in and your private writing desk.

When you use the writing desk, we handle the recipient, occasion, tone, details, and generated text you provide or request. A saved creation can include those same details and its generated text.

For a purchase, we handle the selected package, amount, currency, purchase status, checkout-session reference, and customer email needed to reconcile delivery. The hosted payment provider handles payment-card details; Words by the Hearth does not store full card numbers or security codes.

We use information to provide the writing desk, create and display requested drafts, maintain private account access, save or delete creations at your direction, deliver purchased digital files, and respond to support requests.

We also use information to secure the Service, prevent abuse, apply our content-safety boundaries, troubleshoot failures, reconcile payments, and meet legal or accounting obligations.

You can begin without an account. The details in a free-flow generation request are used to run the safety checks and produce the response you requested; they are not saved as a Creation unless you explicitly choose to save the result after signing in.

Generation and some safety checks are performed through the Polsia AI proxy. The request is sent to that service for the writing task, and generated text is checked against the Service’s safety and originality boundaries before it is shown. Do not submit information you do not want processed for that request.

When you choose to save a draft, it is stored with your account and shown through owner-scoped writing-desk routes. We do not make saved creations public by default, and another signed-in user cannot retrieve them through those routes.

You can delete saved creations from the writing desk or keepsake shelf. Deletion removes the creation and its share links from the app’s active records; limited copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, fraud-prevention records, or other records where retention is reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, dispute resolution, or a completed transaction.

Purchases use a hosted checkout provided through the Service’s Stripe billing connection. We receive purchase and verification details from that flow so we can mark an eligible creation as paid and provide the purchased digital creation or premium printable PDF. We do not ask for full payment-card details in the writing desk or help form.

Payment availability can depend on the owner’s billing setup. If checkout is unavailable, the Service will say so and you can contact us for help; an unavailable checkout is not treated as a completed purchase.

Messages sent through the Help contact form include the name, email address, and message you choose to provide. They are stored to help us respond, and delivery uses the Polsia email proxy to reach wordsbythehearth@polsia.app. Do not send passwords, full card numbers, security codes, or other unnecessary sensitive information through the form.

A share link is created only when you request one for a saved creation. It uses an opaque token, expires, and can be revoked from your private desk. Anyone who has an active link can see the intentionally redacted preview available at that link, so share it only with people you trust. The full creation and identifying account details are not included in the public preview.

The Service records limited conversion and safety-event telemetry, such as an occasion, event type, and an account or visitor identifier when available, to understand the funnel, maintain reliability, and monitor safety behavior. It is not intended to be a public profile of your writing.

The Service relies on infrastructure providers for hosting and database operations, authentication, AI processing, hosted payment processing, email delivery, PDF generation, and basic product analytics. Those providers process information as needed to provide their services and may have their own terms and privacy practices. Saved creations are not used as a public profile.

We keep account and saved-creation information while your account or the requested feature requires it. Purchase and support records may be kept longer when needed for delivery, accounting, fraud prevention, disputes, or legal obligations. Free-flow request details are not retained as saved creations unless you choose to save them.

You may ask about information associated with your account, request correction where appropriate, or ask us to delete information that we are not required to retain. You can delete saved creations in the Service. For an account, purchase, share-link, or privacy request, contact wordsbythehearth@polsia.app; we may need to verify the request and applicable rights depend on the law that applies to you.

We may update this Privacy Policy when the Service or our information practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Please check this page for the policy that applies when you use the Service.
